How to find our location

The Research Center Borstel is located between Hamburg and Bad Segeberg. Once you have arrived at the site, you can simply follow the signs "Biophysik". Our research institute can be found at the following address:

• from Hamburg
  Drive in the direction of Norderstedt and follow the B432 in the direction of Bad Segeberg until you reach the Borstel turnoff (approx.28 km). There you turn right.
• from Lübeck
  From Lübeck to Bad Segeberg via the B206. From there, take the B432 in the direction of Hamburg until you reach the Borstel turnoff. There you turn left.
• from Kiel
  From Kiel to Bad Segeberg on the B404. From Bad Segeberg on the B432 in the direction of Hamburg for about 15 km until you reach the Borstel turnoff. Turn left there.
• from Bad Oldesloe
  In Bad Oldesloe, a main road branches off in the direction of Borstel, leading you to Borstel via Grabau and Tönningstedt. The center is on the left side.
•  for users of navigation systems → enter Sülfeld (Borstel)

For travel by public transport:

• from Hamburg:
  Take the train to the Hbf. Bad Oldesloe (RE83 Hamburg-Lübeck). There you then take bus line 7141 (direction A Henstedt-Ulzburg) and get off at the bus stop "Borstel b Bad Oldesloe, Borsteler Hof".Once there, you only have to follow the road for a short distance (approx. 100m) and you will find the entrance to the research center on the left side.
• from Lübeck:
  Take the train to the Hbf. Bad Oldesloe (RE83 Lübeck-Hamburg). There you take bus line 7141 (direction A Henstedt-Ulzburg) and get off at the bus stop "Borstel b Bad Oldesloe, Borsteler Hof". Once there, you only have to follow the road for a short distance (approx. 100m) and you will find the entrance to the research center on the left side.
• from Bad Segeberg:
  Take bus line 7550 (direction Hamburg Ochsenzoll) to the stop "Borstel b Bad Oldesloe B 432". From there you can either take bus line 7141 (direction Bad Oldesloe ZOB/Bahnhof) 2 stops to "Borstel b Bad Oldesloe Borsteler Hof" or walk 200 m along the B432 and then turn into Lindenallee. The Borstel Research Center is located on the right-hand side.

For the particularly sporty:

• from Hamburg:
  Take the train to the main station Bad Oldesloe (RE83 Hamburg-Lübeck). From there, take the bike about 15 km along Hamburger Straße through Grabau and Sülfeld to Borstel.
• from Lübeck:
  Take the train to the main train station Bad Oldesloe (RE83 Lübeck-Hamburg). From there, take the bike about 15 km along Hamburger Straße through Grabau and Sülfeld to Borstel.
• from Bad Segeberg:
  Ride your bike on the B432 about 17 km through Mözen, Leezen and Groß Niendorf towards Borstel.
