About Us

We are working in the research group bioanalytical chemistry at the Research Center Borstel under the direction of PD Dr. Dominik Schwudke. Our research focuses on the identification and quantification of e.g. membrane components (lipids) and immunologically active biomolecules. State-of-the-art analytical methods are used to adress highly complex scientific challenges. In particular, mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magentic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) are the main components of our toolbox.
The DAS-MS-study opens up a new field for our group and is conducted by Dr. Franziska Marwitz as study leader, as well as PD Dr. Dominik Schwudke and Richard Küchler.
