All information about the DAS-MS study (direct breath [german = Atem] gas analysis via SICRIT® mass spectrometrie). This project is the starting point for the development of an innovative diagnostic approach and runs in cooperation with the company Plasmion. In our work, we are decoding the complex, biological information from the breath. Compared to established methods for obtaining medical information, such as blood tests or lung function measurements, this involves only a mininimal invasive procedure. It is our vision that this approach allows early detection of lung disease while being more comfortable for patients. However, this technology is still in its early stages, requiring intensive basic research before it can be applied in the clinics.
